Covid-19

Preparedness & Response Plan

The health, safety, and well-being of our clients, artists, and families is and always will be of the utmost importance to us. We have always maintained the highest standards in body art procedures and cleaning/disinfection/sterilization procedures. We intend to go above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of everyone who enters our facility through advancements to our facility and new protocol/procedures that are specifically geared towards infection prevention during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The following contains our plan comprised of requirements and guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our body art facility. We have included some measures we have already taken to ensure that our body art facility is an even safer tattoo environment.

These new practices are intended to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission, enhance safety of staff and clients, and to enhance our ability to respond properly in the case of an outbreak in our facility.

What we know about COVID-19:

•              The incubation period of the virus is estimated to be 1-12.5 days

•              Transmission is from direct contact with infected people, by indirect contact with surfaces in the                   immediate environment of infected people, and by contact with objects used on or by an                               infected person.

•              Droplet or airborne transmission

•              There is currently no vaccine or treatment available

Common symptoms of the illness:

•              Fever – the illness seems to start with a fever

•              Dry cough – usually follows the fever

•              Shortness of breath/breathing difficulties

•              Headache

•              Sneezing

It is important to note that infected persons may be asymptomatic.

Affected individuals are advised to quarantine and contact their healthcare provider. We will be subject to close and re-open once all necessary measures have taken place. Our local health department will be notified immediately. We will comply with the health department's recommended actions.

  • Even after all steps are taken to pre-screen clients and artists for possible COVID-19 symptoms before an appointment, it is possible an individual may be asymptomatic at the time and later becomes symptomatic and confirmed to have COVID-19. If this occurs to our knowledge, we will immediately contact all artists and their clients who received services in our establishment within 48 hours after an infected individual was present in our shop.

  • We will comply with all OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, MDHHS and Macomb County guidelines and requirements.
